What Progress is

Progress is one app for the whole of your training: strength workouts, cardio, timers, plans, benchmarks, injuries, and the numbers around them such as weight, steps, sleep and recovery. It runs on iPhone and Apple Watch, works fully without an account or a connection, and treats your health data as yours: nothing is shared with other people, nothing is sold, and there are no ads.

What it does

  • Log any kind of session. Planned workouts, freestyle sessions you build as you go, cardio with a map, interval timers, or a quick "I played football for an hour" entry after the fact.
  • One exercise library for every sport. Exercises are organised around the body first, so a climber and a lifter see the same muscles, joints and movements, filtered by their sport. Illustrations show the movement; progressions collapse into one card so you can see the next step.
  • Plans that adapt. Build a plan around one exercise or a whole workout, choose how it progresses, and put it on your calendar.
  • Measure what matters. Benchmarks with a real protocol, personal bests, progress photos, weight, steps, and daily recovery scores read from Apple Health.
  • A diet, not a food log. Name your diet, say whether you are cutting, bulking or maintaining, and see whether your weigh-ins are on track.
  • Stay on track. Injury tracking with rehab check-ins, supplement reminders, weather on every session, and Focus mode to block distracting apps while you train.
  • A coach you can ask. An AI coach that sees your training and can propose workouts and plans. It never writes to your log without your say-so.
  • Friends. Add friends, see each other's sessions in a feed, and like them.

What it is not

  • Not a food tracker. There are no meals, barcodes or macro targets.
  • Not a social network. There are no followers, public profiles or public feeds. Friendships are mutual, and health data is never visible to anyone but you.
  • Not a subscription. Progress is free. See the Pricing page.
  • Not a cloud-first app. Everything works offline, and syncing is something you turn on, not something that happens to you.

Where your data lives

Your logs live on your phone first. If you create an account, training data syncs to your account so a reinstall or a new phone gets it back. Health data (weight, diet, injuries, body stats, cardio heart rate and routes, progress photos) only syncs after you say yes on a separate consent sheet, and you can turn that off or erase the server copy at any time. Servers are in the EU.
